4 June > Gold Coast Picnic
The Gold Coast Portuguese Community is hosting the Portugal Week 2023 opening event at HOTA Parklands from 11am.
Everyone is invited and our friends from Brisbane will come say hi and enjoy our traditional Portuguese Hospitality, share our food, laugh, sing and dance as is our tradition.
Bring your own food and drinks to share and let’s all have a great time together.
6 June > Social Futsal
Get your friends together and come play futsal with the Portuguese Community at Super Futsal Carina (150 Fursden Road, Brisbane). Arrive from 5:30pm with games starting at 6pm. Futsal Teams will need a minimum 5 players. Don’t have a team? No problem, we’ll create teams from the available players so everyone can have a bit of fun. Games will be short and sweet and when not playing, just head to the bar and enjoy a well earned refreshment with your mates.
Please note, this isn’t a professional competition, but rather a social futsal get together to allow everyone to enjoy a great evening.
8 June > Documentary “Viagens”
Screening of the documentary “Viagens” by the National Archives of Australia about the Portuguese migration to Australia.
This will be an exclusive invite only event presented by Diana Lopes (Honorary Consul of Portugal in Queensland).
A second screening date, open to the public, will be announced soon.

Light Up with the Portuguese Colours
10 June > Brisbane Picnic
Come join us for a Picnic under the Story Bridge and see the bridge light up with the colours of the Portuguese flag to celebrate Portugal Day in Queensland.
Everyone is welcome to attend this family friendly event at Captain Burke Park, Kangaroo Point, Brisbane for a magical evening with the participation of the Brisbane Portuguese Folkloric Group.
Food and Drinks will be available to purchase on site from the famous Portuguese Food Truck “Barraca” and Lisboa Caffé with the delicious Portuguese Tarts.
This event starts at 4pm and goes until 9pm.
10 June is the Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities. This is our day, come celebrate with us.
