Join us for a Picnic under Brisbane’s Story Bridge and see the bridge light up with the colours of the Portuguese flag to celebrate Portugal Day in Queensland.

Everyone is welcome to attend this family friendly event at Captain Burke Park, Kangaroo Point, Brisbane for a magical evening with the participation of the Brisbane Portuguese Folkloric Group.

Food and Drinks will be available to purchase on site from the famous Portuguese Food Truck “Barraca” and Lisboa Caffé with the delicious Portuguese Tarts.

This event starts at 4pm and goes until 9pm.

10 June is the Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities. This is our day, come celebrate with us.

Picnic Location

This Map shows the exact location where the picnic will take place, marked with the Portugal Week Logo on the Picnic Area at Captain Burke Park, Kangaroo Point. There are tables and chairs available but as a precaution, if you can, please bring your own chair just in case we run out of seating. The area has Restrooms available and provides for incredible views of the Brisbane City skyline and the famous Story Bridge which on the day will glow with the Portuguese Colours.

Parking is available although somewhat limited. If you can, please use the Holman Street Ferry Terminal to get here using the CityHopper Ferry or Inner-City Cross River Ferry, both serving this terminal frequently throughout the day.
